A classic tank-matured blend, led by the big four—Bourboulenc, Clairette, Grenache Blanc and Roussanne—and spiced up by the inclusion of tiny proportions of Picpoul Blanc and Picardan, plus a small barrel component, Beaurenard's 2020 Chateauneuf du Pape Blanc is remarkably perfumed, with bold but refined notes of lime zest and white peaches on the nose. It's medium to full-bodied on the palate, plump and fleshy, but linear as well, with a strong beam of acidity and a long, zest-riddled finish.

The Demeter-certified biodynamic 2019 Chateauneuf du Pape Blanc includes the six authorized white varieties of the appellation, including the rarely seen Picpoul and Picardan. Pristine and pure, it's a medium-bodied whirl of citrus with touches of floral and mineral notes. Don't look for opulence and sur-maturité here—you'll find tension and freshness instead.

The medium to full-bodied 2018 Chateauneuf du Pape Blanc offers attractive notes of melon, white peach and lime. A blend of 30% Clairette, 25% Bourboulenc, 22% Roussanne, 20% Grenache Blanc and tiny amounts of Picardan and Picpoul, it's linear and focused rather than plush or rounded, with a crisp, engaging finish.

A blend of 30% Clairette, 25% Bourboulenc, 22% Roussanne, 20% Grenache Blanc, 2% Picpoul Blanc and 1% Picardan, the 2017 Chateauneuf du Pape Blanc is a medium to full-bodied wine with plenty of floral notes up front, pear and melon on the mid-palate and lime and anise on the finish. It's a solid offering that won't disappoint, provided you drink it in its first few years.

The 2016 Chateauneuf du Pape Blanc presents contrasting sensations. It's floral and tropical on the nose yet reserved and austere on the palate. It includes six white grape varieties, although Picpoul Blanc and Picardan together account for only 3% of the blend. A portion of the wine is barrel-fermented, showing up as hints of pencil shavings on the crisp finish.
