The most supple and forward of the 1993 offerings are the Beaune Les Cent Vignes and Beaune Les Bressandes, both offering excellent quantities of ripe cherry fruit, medium body, tart acidity, and pure, vibrant personalities. Each can be drunk in 4-5 years and cellared for 15. All Mademoiselle Choppin's 1993 should turn out to be very good red burgundies. Furthermore, they are among the most modestly priced wines of the region. Unlike her more flattering 1992s, the 1993s require 3-5 years of cellaring. They possess fine color saturation, good body, very good to excellent flavor extraction, and the vintage's tell-tale, hard tannic structure.
