A strong effort, the nine-year-old 2007 Chardonnay Dutton Ranch was spectacular. Medium light-gold in color, with terrific fragrance of honeysuckle, mango, pineapple and brioche, the wine hits the palate with full-bodied thunder, terrific acidity and wonderful, fresh, lively, intense fruit. This is a stunner and should continue to drink well for another 4-5 years.

A rich but elegant Chardonnay. Shows massive, concentrated flavors of pineapples, pears and green apples, liberally accented with the vanilla and buttered toast of oak barrels. Flamboyant, yet balanced with crisp coastal acidity and a tang of minerals.——S.H.(12/15/2009)—— 91
