The 2005 Zinfandel Maggie’s Reserve is blended with some Petite Sirah. Tannic, backward, and very dense for a 2005, it exhibits a deep ruby/purple hue as well as plenty of oak and earth. It seems to need a few more months in the bottle to round into drinking form, or it could be too tannic. Who knows? Nevertheless, it possesses some serious stuffing, and it should hold up well for 5-6 years. The ever reliable Kent Rosenblum continues to turn out a portfolio of delicious Zinfandels.
