This wine, from Sonoma Valley, reveals a dark ruby/purple color, ripe berry fruit, spicy wood, and full body, as well as tangy, high acidity. It possesses an excellent finish, but the zesty acidity makes me think some of it may have been added. This long, mouthfilling, high alcohol (14.9%) Zinfandel should be consumed over the next 4-5 years.Rosenblum's 1996s are consistently successful. They reflect the short, hot growing season as they do not possess very much length. Therefore, no matter how big they might be, they are best consumed over the next 2-3 years. Tel. (510) 865-7007
