Rosenblum's 1990 Zinfandel-Samsel Vineyard-Maggie's Reserve is similar in style to the Michael Marston, but a bit more earthy, opulent, and alcoholic. Though a powerful Zinfandel, everything is in balance and the wine exhibits tremendously pure fruit, gorgeous intensity, and a long finish. More approachable than the Michael Marston Vineyard Zinfandel, the Samsel can be drunk now or cellared for up to a decade.
