From the challenging vintage of 2011, the 2011 Pinot Noir Hyde Vineyard?(15% whole-clusters and 65% new oak) couldn’t quite live up to the quality of the 2010, 2009 or 2008, but it is a well-made wine that seems to be on a fast evolutionary track, with a plum/garnet color, sweet currant notes, herbs, loamy soil undertones and baking spices. It is medium-bodied, round and seemingly close to full maturity.
