One of the lighter, less-concentrated wines from Meo-Camuzet is the Nuits St.-Georges Les Meurgers. This wine may turn out to be too austere and tannic. It reveals a dark ruby/purple color, a closed nose, hard, tannic, medium-bodied flavors, and a compact finish. Although it is a good wine, the tannin is troubling. Give it 4-5 years of cellaring.
Meo-Camuzet's 1993s are unquestionably successes for the vintage. All the wines were bottled in April, 1995 without fining or filtration.
