The Nuits St.-Georges Les Murgers is the most exotic wine in the Meo stable. An intense bouquet of smoky, roasted, rich, black cherry fruit is married beautifully with lush, ripe, heady flavors, medium to full body, and soft smooth tannins. These all combine for a totally hedonistic red burgundy drinking experience. It is a gorgeous wine to drink now, and while I am tempted to say it will not keep, wines like this often have the cunning ability to age for 6 to 7 years. It is curious, but the 1987 Nuits St.-Georges Les Murgers reminds me somewhat of the 1985 Clos Vougeot from this domaine.
