The recently bottled 2021 Chardonnay Mays Canyon is streaked with matchstick to begin, but with time in the glass, it blossoms to warm lemon, beeswax, bread dough and almonds. The medium-bodied palate segues from shimmery saline to deeper notes of lemon drops and honey, carried along by a satiny texture, and it boasts a very long, expansive finish. 177 cases were made.
