Deeper in hue than its 1993 counterpart but still in its prime, the 1995 Saint-Aubin 1er Cru En Montceau offers up aromas of golden orchard fruit, confit citrus, stone fruit, buttery pastry and blanched almonds. Medium to full-bodied, rich and muscular, with chalky structuring extract, lively acids and a chunky core of fruit, this is a heartier, more rustic wine than the supremely elegant 1993.
