The 1999 Palazzo della Torre is a proprietary blend of 70% Corvina, 15% Rondinela, 10% Syrah, and 5% Sangiovese aged 17 months in small French foudres. Its bouquet reveals notions of spicy new oak along with chocolate, black currants, cherries, licorice, and tar. This blend is grapy and ripe, with aromas of earth and tree bark mixing nicely with the scent of sweet fruit.
