The 2014 Santenay Clos de Malte (Blanc) has a rather conservative bouquet at this stage, with controlled beeswax and honeysuckle scents, later followed by a touch of peach, though the aromatics never let go fully. The palate is well balanced with a fresh lime cordial and orange peel entry. There is commendable weight in the mouth with just a touch of ginger on the finish to liven proceedings.
