The dark ruby-colored Echezeaux possesses marvelously concentrated and deep aromas of black cherries and toasty oak. This wine is extremely chewy, full-bodied, and has copious quantities of thick super-ripe red and black fruits, mocha and a beguiling underbrush characteristic. I recommend holding it for 5 years and enjoying it through 2008.This unfined, unfiltered and hand-bottled offering is crafted with only minimal doses of sulfur. It is a first rate wine. This was the first time I tasted anything from Bizot so I was ecstatic to see the high level of quality achieved by this small estate. This note is the results of tastings I did in Burgundy between January 7 and January 29.A Patrick Lesec Selection (Paris Fax: 011-33-1-42-84-38-22).
