Bizot's Echezeaux, from a vineyard planted next to that of Robert Jayer-Gilles, is nearly an outstanding wine. The color is only light ruby, but the wine reveals an intense fragrance of red and black fruits, minerals, and flowers, medium body, and attractive sweetness and roundness. This surprisingly supple 1993 can be drunk now or over the next 7-8 years. This small domaine has bottled this wine specifically for French wine broker, Patrick Lesec, who requested that it not be filtered, and bottled with little or no SO2.A Peter Vezan Selection (Paris fax # 011 33 1 42554293) and Patrick Lesec Selection (Paris fax # 011 33 1 42843822), various American importers.
