The 2014 Etna Bianco Arcurìa shows a more oxidative style. The wine is aged in large oak casks. Apricot, honey and toasted nut emerge from the bouquet, with butterscotch and candied fruit at the back. The wine reveals a creamy consistency and makes a very nice impact in the mouth. Because of those advanced aromas, I am suggesting a slightly shorter drinking window than I otherwise would have assigned to this Carricante-based white.
