I did not sample the entire range of 1986s after bottling, but given the difficulties in Beaune in 1986, the Domaine Albert Morot has managed to produce some spicy and robust-though slightly too dry and tannic -wines that need until 1991-1992 to round out. The wine is medium bodied and has good color, but like many 1986s it is a little short on charm and plump fruit.
