The Monte del Frà 2018 Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Tenuta Lena di Mezzo is sticky and thick with dark fruit, plum, dried fig and spice. The wine carries a 15.5% alcohol content over a full-bodied texture with deep layers of black fruit and spice. This is a blend of air-dried Corvina, Corvinone and Rondinella aged in French oak casks for 24 months. Some 60,000 bottles were released.

A subtle red with fine tannins layered in the medium- to full-bodied frame with flavors of black cherry, dried cranberry, Earl Grey tea and smoky mineral. Lightly chewy finish. The fruit is super ripe and rich, with some stickiness and heaviness on the bouquet. The aromas recall sweet blackberry confit, spice, mesquite and spent ember. The wine delivers rich concentration and lots of fruit weight, with 15.5% alcohol. Production is 60,000 bottles.
