The 2014 Chablis 1Er Cru Vaulorent has a rounded, quite rich (for the vintage) bouquet with peach skin and grapefruit scents, perhaps missing the mineralité of some of its peers. The palate is well balanced and packed full of fruit: white peach, persimmon and green apple. The acidity is very well judged and there is plenty of tension on the satisfying, harmonious finish. This is a delicious, flavor-packed Vaulorent that should age with style and panache.
