Jean-Pierre Cartier has long made very fine Gigondas, and his regular cuvee in 2006, a blend of Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvedre with some Cinsault and even Clairette in the cuvee, is a tasty wine with loads of berry fruit, a touch of spicy oak, with medium body, elegance, and a nice, pure, long finish with loads of charm and fruit.
