Coming from vines averaging 20 years in age, the classic 2013 Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon spent 22 months in 25% new French oak. It’s a terrific value and has real Cabernet character in its damp herbs, blackcurrants, underbrush and graphite-scented bouquet. Medium to full-bodied, polished and textured, it’s an impeccably made Cabernet to enjoy over the following 7-8 years, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see it evolve nicely for longer.
