The nose of the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve is clean and correct, with a classic core of black and red fruits that fill the glass with subtle oak tones. The medium to full-bodied palate shows a soft dustiness that builds slowly until giving way to structuring tannins, then lingers on the finish with subtle oak spices. 2,000 case produced.

Rich and ripe, the 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve reveals notes of sweet cherries, prunes and dark chocolate. Medium-bodied, chewy and somewhat diffuse, it concludes with a drying, oak-inflected finish.

A step up over the Merlot, the 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve (100% Cabernet Sauvignon) is a seriously good Cab that offers ample black fruits, licorice, charcoal and spice aromas and flavors. Rich, mouth-filling and impeccably balanced, with sweet fruit, it's hard to resist today, yet it should age gracefully.

While the 2013 was brought up all in French oak, the 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve was raised mostly in French oak, with a small portion of American oak. It’s another high quality effort from this estate that has a modern, rich, textured style as well as beautiful notes of black currants, spice-box, graphite and chocolate. Medium to full-bodied, fresh and nicely balanced, it will drink well for at least a decade.

The 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve is a stunner that comes from one of the more difficult vintages in the last decade. It has remarkable purity in its black and blue fruits, graphite, smoked herbs and licorice-scented aromas and flavors, and this beauty hits the palate with medium to full-bodied richness, a great texture and sweet, slightly rustic tannin. Drink it anytime over the coming decade. The blend here is 95% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Merlot that saw 26 months new French oak.
