From a site next to La Romanée that suffered from hydric stress this year, the 2017 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru La Grande Montagne offers up aromas of citrus oil, tart orchard fruit, white flowers and chalky soil. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, elegantly textural but firm and tight-knit, with considerable structural tension and reserve despite its nicely concentrated core.
