Tasted blind at the Burgundy 2011 horizontal tasting in Beaune. The Saint Aubin 1er Cru en Remilly 2011 from Pierre-Yves Colin has the most complete nose of the flight with entrancing minerality and fruit concentration combined. It starts off quite strict, but opens out with intriguing resinous aromas. The palate is crisp and fresh with a fine thread of acidity. There is good depth here, with well-judged fruit concentration, but a sense of delicacy on the finish. Excellent.
