The 2008 The Florita Riesling is showing a nice bit of evolution in the lemon-lime aromas with hints of lanolin, wax and some spices. Tasted at the Armagh Hut with Sam and Tom Barry, the 2008 The Florita Riesling has knotted tension on the nose—closed and not easy to read. In the mouth, the wine is firm, toasty and somehow medicinal, with notes of alpine herbs, hints of amaro, layers of anise and arnica. It is interesting and very different from the others. There is also a note of Pinetarsol. 2008 was a dry year and an excellent red vintage.

(South Australia) Perfumed lanolin, bread, herbs, confectionery, lime and petrol aromas. Crisp, mouthwatering and succulent with a beautiful structure, great minerality and sour apple fruit. Classy. Alc: 11.5%.
