    The 2007 Jansz Vintage Rose is made from 100% Pinot Noir and was barrel fermented and matured for 8 months in aged French oak barriques. After more than three years aging on yeast lees the wine was disgorged and liquered, again using 100% Tasmanian Pinot Noir. Pale pink in color, it offers a vibrant nose of fresh raspberries, wild strawberries, cream, croissants and fresh pears. The palate lends a very good concentration of berry and toast flavor with crisp acidity and just enough dosage (8.9 grams per liter).     The 2006 Premium Vintage Rose is made from 100% Pinot Noir primarily fermented 100% in barrel before spending 3 years on its lees. Revealing a very, very pale salmon color it has fragrant strawberry and fresh raspberry aromas with some white pepper, fresh croissant and a hint of pot pourri. The palate is very crisp and dry with a nice intensity of flavor to balance and just enough dosage (6-7 g/l). Giving a long, refreshing finish this wine is drinking beautifully now but should develop over 3-5 years. 120 cases made.One of the first sparkling wine labels to come out of Tasmania, Jansz originated as a joint venture that included Louis Roederer Champagne house but has since changed hands and is now fully owned by the Hill-Smith family and part of the growing Yalumba group.     The non-vintage Rose is a combination of 49% Pinot Noir, 47% Chardonnay, and 4% Pinot Meunier. Framboise intermixed with notions of herbs, earth, and brioche offer a delicious introduction to this dry, medium-bodied rose, which has an average tirage age of 29 months.     The NV Premium Rosé leads with strawberries and rose petals. In the mouth, it is frothy, sweet and pink (and by that, of course, all things pink: berries, floss, barbie, etc.). The mousse is plump and expansive and fills every corner of the mouth. This is a good commercial sparkling, which has lost some of its complexity via the style it is made in.
