The 1997 Cuvee P possesses a dark ruby/purple color, a big, smoky, grilled meat-scented nose, ripe, sweet, medium to full-bodied flavors, excellent density and surprising fat and glycerin, in addition to thickness, an unctuous texture, and huge levels of glycerin and extract. The 1996 Cuvee P is fat, full-bodied, and smoky, with roasted herbs, gobs of pepper, and jammy blackberry liqueur, it is an exotic, flamboyant, over-the-top style of Chateauneuf du Pape.
