Taut, zesty and fresh, the 2019 Cotes du Rhone Saint-Esprit Blanc was made and matured in stainless steel. It's medium-bodied and fleshy in the mouth but not overly dense or rich, instead offering flavors that range from green apple and citrus to melon and pear, finishing bright and clean.

Despite having languished in my office for more than a year, the 2018 Cotes du Rhone Saint-Esprit Blanc still boasts fresh, energizing aromas of citrus and green pear, with riper hints of melon and honey. Vinified and matured entirely in stainless steel, it's medium-bodied, plump and round on the palate, with a burst of lime on an anise-tinged finish. Drink up.

The 2017 Cotes du Rhone Saint-Esprit Blanc is a blend of Grenache Blanc, Clairette, Bourboulenc and Viognier, fermented and raised in stainless steel. It offers a complex mix of citrus, stone fruit and orchard fruit notes, a plump, medium-bodied palate and an attractive, fruit-driven finish. Drink this stupendous bargain over the next 6-12 months.

The 2016 Cotes du Rhone Saint-Esprit Blanc, a blend of Grenache Blanc, Clairette, Bourboulenc and Viognier, is fermented and raised entirely in stainless steel. It offers a ripe nose of pear, melon and modest floral notes, then ample freshness on the medium-bodied palate. Hints of pineapple and starfruit combine with ripe citrus on the finish. It's a fine representative for the region. Drink within 18 months of the vintage.
