A sleek and fine Barolo with a pretty nose of watermelon, orange slices, cranberries and crushed stones. Medium- to full-bodied with tightly-knit tannins. Mouthwatering acidity, too. Wonderful brightness. Try from 2028.

Aromas of orange blossom, cherries, hibiscus, and rose stem follow through to a medium body, with firm and silky tannins and a fresh and bright finish. Lovely citrusy acidity to this. Drink after 2026.

Shows aromas that hint at rose, strawberry and cherry, yet the palate is reserved and tight, offering more balsamic flavors of eucalyptus, juniper and pine. Bricco Fiasco is a proprietary name for a vineyard in Castiglione Falletto with 85 year old vines. Luigi Scavino says, "These vines represent a unique heritage for our family." The 2019 Barolo Bricco Fiasco (with 5,800 bottles released) is a little shy initially, with heavier berry fruit aromas that eventually relax to show campfire ash, pencil shaving and pressed rose. Put this bottle aside for a few more years.

Fragrant, with raspberry compote, hay, spice and rose aromas, this red starts out supple and ends sinewy and compact. The aftertaste lingers, echoing the berry fruit and adding a mineral element.
