Based in Castiglione Falletto, Bricco Fiasco is Azelia's historic cru parcel. Vines planted here exceed 65 years in age. Yields are naturally low, and fruit concentration is very evident as a result. The 2010 Barolo Bricco Fiasco is a gorgeous wine with supple and rich textural finesse that glides smoothly over the palate, leaving no rough edges or hardness. Instead, the wine shows impeccable integration both on the nose and in the mouth. The bouquet is redolent of dark fruit, licorice, smoke, spice and tar. This Barolo is aged in barrique, of which 20% is new and 80% is neutral.

Smooth, exhibiting licorice, leather, black cherry and black tea flavors, with a touch of spice. Compact and broad, presenting a grainy swath of tannins on the long finish. Best from 2018 through 2032. 566 cases made.??–BS??Region: Italy / Piedmont / Barolo Select to Add
