Medium to full-bodied, deep and rich, the 2002 Beaune Clos des Coucheraux exhibits dark, stony, black cherry, strawberry, talcum powder, and perfume aromas. Thick, ample, and concentrated, it releases sweet waves of earth-tinged dark fruits on the taster’s palate. Its finish is firm, with copious quantities of tannin that will necessitate some patience. Anticipated maturity: 2007-2013.
