A hint of malt adds a rich layer to the flavors of ripe fruit—black cherry, berries, grilled plum, whole-grain toast and smoke—all set on a refined texture. An elegant, flavorful rose, with lovely, fine-tuned acidity. Disgorged April 2011. Drink now through 2018. 302 cases imported. -AN

Light red. Focused nose with delicious fruity accents (cherry) and a pleasant peppery touch. Fleshy, easy-drinking, fruit-driven palate that is mild yet fresh. Quality precision that makes it a marvellous pudding Champagne with red fruit tart.

Extrovert like you would expect from this kind of rosés. Nice bright red color. Typical saignée intensity: red fruit aromas (raspberry, strawberry, red cherries) are well defined and intense, but I find also some spice (cloves) and a touch of aromatic herbs. Not much yeasty aroma here, just a bit after some time. Very fine bubble, in the mouth the red fruit is even more assertive than on the nose with strawberry, sour cherry, raspberry. Light tannins, crispy acidity and good concentration. Persistent in the mouth.
