The 2014 Puligny-Montrachet Le Trezin, a late ripening vineyard because of its altitude, has a well defined, engaging bouquet with a touch of flint and smoke lending it an almost Chablis-like personality. The palate is clean and fresh with a touch of fatness on the entry that is surprising. Driven by a keen line of acidity and plenty of spicy lemongrass notes on the finish, this Puligny punches above its village cru status.
