The 2015 Pommard 1er Cru Charmots is the first release since Maison Jacques Prieur purchased the vineyard in 2013. This is 100% whole bunch fruit and it works fantastically on the nose, since you can barely tell, instead rebelling in the engaging ripe red cherry, boysenberry and kirsch aromas. The palate is smooth on the entry with a slight chalkiness to the texture. This has fine structure, plenty of freshness and fine precision on the finish - it's a 2015 that is essentially doing its best to make up for being hailed upon the last two years.
