The 2014 Santenay Champ Perrieres Blanc has a crisp, Granny Smith and freshly sliced pear bouquet, a touch of smoke developing with time. The palate is crisp and fresh, nicely structured with green apple and touches of dried pineapple leading to a pleasing, waxy finish. This is a modest Santenay, perhaps a little outclassed by its peers in this vintage.
