Last Tasted 6/92 At one time this was one of the greatest white burgundies I had ever tasted, but on three separate occasions over the last 15 months the wine has tasted less impressive. Anyone who saw me swooning over this wine in "Burgundy-The Movie" could sense I was tasting a blockbuster wine. Whether it is due to bad storage or just the fact that the wine is beginning to crack up, there is no doubt that the intense fragrance this wine once possessed has begun to dissipate. The great richness and unctuosity it exhibited is taking on more and more leanness, with the alcohol and acidity beginning to dominate. I guess there is a lesson to be learned from this experience, particularly for those readers who may have waited too long to put their corkscrews to good use - wines will not last forever.
