The 2008 Harrison Hill (the second oldest vineyard in Washington) is a blend of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot with the balance Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. Aromas of toasty oak, leather, tobacco, herbs, black currant, and blackberry are enticing, but on the palate the wine lacks depth and concentration. It is still a fine effort but this wine has set the bar high. DeLille Cellars and Doyenne are sister labels, the former for Bordeaux-style wines and the latter for Rhone-style wines. They will be reviewed separately.www.delillecellars.com
