Coming all from the Jura clone and barrel-fermented and aged 16 months in 100% new French oak, the medium-gold 2012 Chardonnay Chamise has lots of classy oak in its ripe tropical fruits (pineapple, apple), honey, toast and brioche-scented bouquet. Rich, textured, full-bodied and layered, it has plenty of freshness and is a joy to drink. I suspect the oak will integrate nicely with another 6-12 months in bottle and it will drink well through 2022.
