The 2006 Meursault Genevrieres has a reticent bouquet at first, unfolding gradually in the glass to reveal hints of citrus peel, smoke and even a hints of chestnut. It seems to have more delineation that other 2006s that I have tasted from the domaine. The palate is Meursault through and through with walnut and hazelnut notes, very well judged acidity and a captivating poise on the finish. There are hints of spice and praline lingering on the aftertaste. This is certainly the Coche Dury that I would pick from this vintage.
