The 2014 Echézeaux Grand Cru comes from the top of the grand cru in "Les Poulaillères." It includes 40% whole bunch fruit from the 80-year-old vines and there are two barrels. It has a strict and precise, wild hedgerow-scented bouquet with just a hint of black tea. The palate is medium-bodied with crisp tannin, a little chalkiness here, but with satisfying depth on the finish that lingers in the mouth. Very fine.
