The medium to dark ruby-colored, the 1997 Pommard Rugiens' nose offers black cherries and Asian spices. A massive, chewy wine, it is concentrated powerful, and intense. Its flavors of cocoa powder, coffee, spiced corn, and blackberries saturate the tasters' palate, seemingly lingering for 20+ seconds.
