The 2015 Nuit Saint Georges 1er Cru Corvées Pagets was matured with 100% whole bunch fruit with no new oak. There was a subtle ferrous scent on the nose here, perhaps just a little more rustic than Marchand-Tawse's other crus, although it is well defined and seems to gain intensity in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with grippy tannin, the active limestone coming through and leaving the tongue tingling long after the wine has departed. This is very fine and should drink a little earlier than others.
