The 1994 Meursault 1er Cru Les Perrières offered light Conference pear and touches of popcorn on the nose that after two decades has maintained fine delineation and that essence of mineralité that defines the vineyard. The palate is surprisingly vigorous considering its age and vintage, well balanced with a smear of dried honey towards the conservative finish. Drinking well now, this Meursault is not going to improve further, but it has shown no signs of diminishing. Tasted November 2016.
