The outstanding 2000 Puligny-Montrachet Les Folatieres, from vines nearing 100 years of age according to Mounir Saouma, the firm's winemaker, exhibits gorgeous aromatics of rich, floral, apple, and spice scents. Medium to full-bodied and robust, this is an ample, vinous wine with lots of stuffing. Toasted white fruits, butter, anise, and cardamon can be found in its beautifully delineated character.
