The 2013 Chablis 1er Cru Vaillons, which comes from 48-year-old vines was bottled in September 2014. It has a simple, green apple and Cornice pear-scented bouquet that is one of the most detailed Vaillons '13 that I encountered during my travels. The palate is clean and fresh, nicely balanced with a touch of grilled almond lending just a very faint creaminess toward the finish. This is one to pour now or over the next 5 or 6 years.
