All of the 2018 Crozes's samples from Cave de Tain are solid efforts, so it is not a diss to say the 2018 Crozes Hermitage Grand Classique is the least of them. It offers up smoke and crushed-stone-inflected cassis on the nose, and it's medium to full-bodied but lacks the depth of the other cuvées, with a taut feel on the palate and crisp acids on the finish.
