The 2020 Crozes Hermitage les Meysonniers feature gorgeous blueberries and florals on the nose, while the palate is medium to full-bodied and silky textured. It does appear to lack a bit of the richness shown by the 2019, with the flavors falling away quickly on the finish.

An exceptional vintage for this wine, the 2019 Crozes Hermitage les Meysonniers showcases violets, cassis and crushed stone aromas on its complex, nuanced nose. Medium to full-bodied on the palate, it's silky and seductive, with a long, exquisitely balanced finish.

Black cherries and black olives appear on the nose of the 2018 Crozes Hermitage les Meysonniers. It's more savory and complex than the la Petite Ruche bottling, being medium to full-bodied, with a silky texture and decent length. The 2018s look very successful at Chapoutier, and this sexy Crozes is no exception.

The promising 2017 Crozes Hermitage les Meysonniers delivers a pannier of plush, juicy blueberries, balanced by just enough soft tannins to keep it savory and focused. Full-bodied and rounded in the mouth, it finishes silky and long. This looks to be a beauty to drink over the next 6-7 years.

The 2016 Crozes Hermitage les Meysonniers has turned out even better than I thought based on last year's tank sample. It's bigger and richer than the La Petite Ruche, delivering blueberry fruit tinged with cracked pepper and a long, silky finish. It should drink well through at least 2025.
