The 2011 Chorey-les-Beaune Village has a simple but clean, fresh bouquet with light cranberry and raspberry scents that offer good intensity for a Village Cru. The palate is medium-bodied with crunchy brambly red berries on the entry. The tannins are a little tough at the moment but it should soften over the next year and offer a decent Chorey-les-Beaune for early to mid-term drinking. Drink 2014-2018. I met Alex Gambal a few years ago in London. It cannot have been long since the American had set up his operation located on the Beaune ringroad. Several importers in the United States.
