Pale ruby-purple colored, the 2010 Pinot Noir gives a good intensity of fresh mint and ripe red cherry aromas with underlying notes of raspberry preserves and cinnamon. Medium bodied with crisp acidity, there's just enough wild berry fruit to flesh out the low to medium level of chewy tannins, finishing medium-long. Drinking now, it should remain vibrant through 2013. Cooralook is a range of well priced wines developed by Yabby Lake Winery, which has branched out from Mornington Peninsula to produce regionally expressive wines from the Strathbogie Ranges and Heathcote. Adeptly forged by winemaker Tom Carson, formerly of Yering Station, these wines offer very good value.Importer: Yabby Lake Vineyard Inc., Lafayette, CA; tel. (925) 962-9229
