The barrel sample of 2018 Chardonnay Rosemary's Vineyard offers crunchy white peach, Bosc pear, quince, baker’s yeast, crushed stone and nutty hints on the nose. Medium to full-bodied, it’s silky smooth, crunchy and fresh with exuberant acidity and a long, lifted finish.

The 2017 Chardonnay Rosemary's Vineyard, aged 16 months in 20% new French oak, offers crushed stone and lime peel hints to begin, accenting apples, quince and nutty notions. The medium-bodied palate is satiny and intense with a great interplay of honey-nut and citrus-mineral character, finishing long and energetic.

The 2016 Chardonnay Rosemary's Vineyard features baked quince, apple pie, guava, orange blossoms and honeysuckle on the nose, with notions of honeycomb, gunflint, hazelnuts and dried hay. Medium to full-bodied, silky textured, wonderfully intense, savory and juicy, the palate is energetic and tensile, finishing long on a lifted saline note. Lovely!

2015 was the year "the drought hit us the hardest," says Brian Talley. "We picked Pinot Noir on July 15. It was unbelievable. The vines were so stressed." The 2015 Chardonnay Rosemary's Vineyard is scented of petrichor, saline and crushed shell to begin, and then it opens up to white blossoms, lime peel, dried hay and white peaches. In the mouth, it's light to medium-bodied, full of zippy, zingy energy and is minerally with just a dash of savory character, finishing long and nuanced.

The 2014 Chardonnay Rosemary's Vineyard opens with gunflint and smoke to begin, fleshing out to citrus peel and white blossoms over a crunchy core of tree fruit. The palate is medium-bodied, crunchy, tensile and minerally with nutty touches and a long, saline finish.
